Mandalore Navy
The Mandalorian Navy has a long tradition of protecting Mandalore space from intruders and invaders, and to this day has been one of the key weapons of the Warrior Eminence. But the history of the Navy was not always so grand. It took nearly 2000 years for the Mandalore to return to space after their crash, and this was only from the help of Juannar. Together they built a formidable Navy and set out exploring and colonizing the Mandalore system. Then the Vuana arrived.
The Vuana attacked without warning and, because of the surprise and their superior technology, they quickly crippled the Navy and placed Mandalore under siege. After 20 years of battling against the fearsome odds and taking heavy losses, the Mandalorians were stunned when the Vuana suddenly left. But they wasted no time in rebuilding and improving their naval forces. When the Vuana returned 200 years later, they too had designed new weapons, and despite Mandalore’s best efforts, they succeeded in destroying and killing off the Juannar. After fighting on by themselves for many more years, the Mandalore launched a massive offensive that carried them to the edge of their system. Here they found and captured a Vuana shipyard, and after many years of studying the advanced designs, they introduced many new ships and weapons to the fleet. This allowed them to carry the fight to the Vuana homeworld, where Mandalore succeeded in eliminating the Vuana threat forever.
After the Great War, the Mandalore society could not take anymore battling because of the social and economic destruction that had occurred on the planet. The Warrior Eminence set a policy of isolation, and the Navy was charged with keeping all Mandalorians in and outsiders out. In this role the Navy was very successful, and Mandalore was soon relegated to myths and legends throughout the galaxy. Nearly a thousand years later, the new Warrior Eminence DeMeer finally changed this policy, and began the reconstruction of the Navy for duties outside of Mandalore space. New weapons from throughout the galaxy, along with some that have served faithfully for generations, are being upgraded and tested to meet the Navy’s intense specifications. Today, this powerful Navy can call upon the service of numerous battle fleets and fighter wings to defend Mandalore or for duties with Mandalore’s new allies. The Navy is supported by a large transport and logistics division that carries most of Mandalore’s supplies and resources, along with transporting Mandalore’s numerous Army divisions. Once this powerful force is released, the entire galaxy will remember why Mandalore’s warriors are feared and respected battlefield opponents.
